The purposes of the organization are to enrich the learning experience at The Emerson School, support student and staff needs at the school with volunteer or financial resources, provide social and educational experiences for the students, staff and families at the school, and build connections within the school and neighborhood community.

The funds are used to produce the community events listed above and any additional funds goes to supporting the Emerson School.
Any parent, guardian, or other adult with a student at the school may be a member and have voting rights. Any teacher or staff member employed at the school may be a member and have voting rights. There are no Membership dues to join FES.
