Rain or shine the walk/run route will start and end at the playground whenever you and your family arrive. The route will be marked with signs along the way. There will be juice boxes, seltzers, beer and wine (and a playground) available for a spooky happy hour at the finish line. If it feels good to you and your family, please feel free to wear your favorite costume!! Cheers!
Please consider joining us for some fun in the sun and in welcoming our incoming families to our community! Irving Park, 707 NE Fremont St, 6-8pm
Come on out to a Free Summer Concert and meet-up with other Emerson School families! Mo Philips and the Spaghetti Pants Band will be playing live, they are a very fun and lively local kindie-rock group. Your kids will want to dance! (you will too). The band is scheduled to begin at 6:30, bring a picnic to enjoy or come just to visit, dance, play, and have fun with us. Ginger will be there with her family and will set-up toward the mid-back end of the crowd, for a bit quieter space conducive to chatting, Look for Ginger, who will not awkwardly-at-all, have a helium mylar balloon next to her (so you can spot her in the crowd) and some spread-out blankets for Emerson. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Please consider joining us for some fun in the sun and in welcoming our incoming families to our community! Columbia Park, corner of N. Woolsey and N. Winchell. Meet at the NW corner of the park, by the playground, splash pad, 2-5pm.
Ginger (Satsuma's mom) and her family will be hanging out at Columbia Park and would love to have everyone (new families and old) join them to visit, play, snack, and relax. Feel free to bring any sort of snack to share or nothing at all, no pressure! Bring swimsuits and towels for the splash pad. Bikes and scooters to ride on the paved loop in this big shady park. Even if you have no idea who ginger is, that doesn't matter at all--this is an Emerson hang-out. COME ON BY!
